Hannah Virgin (14) took gold in the 200-yard with 2:20.25 (best).
Delaney Biro finished 10th in the 200 free with 1:58.95, about a second off her best (1:57.70). She also finished 5th in the 50 fly with 27.44.
Dominique Fajardo finished 10th in the 50 fly with28.46, going up slightly of her best (27.95) which she swam at prelims.
Gabby Beltrano finished 8th in the 100 back with 1:02.51 (best).
The CSSC 11-12 team for the 200 and 400-yard medley relays finished in times of 2:09.29 and 4:43.15, respectively. The 200-medley relay team was made up by Faith Fowler, Cara Virgin, Anna Kaspersky and Ellie Mitova. In the 400-medley team swam Faith Fowler, Ellie Mitova, Anna Kasperski and Sarah Schimansky, in that order.
In the 13-14 group, the 200 and 400-yard relay team took silver in both races with 1:51.36 and 3:56.64. 200 Medley Team: Beltrano, Virgin, Biro and Rachel Botting. 400 Medley Team: Beltrano, Virgin, Biro and Fajardo.
Shout outs for:
- Anna Kaspersky who, by the end of Saturday, had 5 new best times.
- Olivia Mason for swimming to new bests; 50 free and 100 breast.
- Ellie Mitova for swimming three new bests so far after a very productive meet last weekend.
Nico Ferrara finished 3rd in the 50 fly with 24.06 (best), 7th in the 200 free with a 1:48.97, just off his best (1:47.05); and 8th in the 100 back with 59.06. At the end of Saturday, Ferrara was the lead scorer for CSSC with 34 points.
Connor Marks finished 4th in the 100 back 1:04.21 (best).
Gianni Savino qualified 10th in the 200-breast with 2:30.10 and smashed this time in finals with a strong 2:27.54 to finish 6th overall. Savino made the All-Stars team with this swim.
Alex Meyer finished 8th in 100 back with 1:06.80 (best) and 10th in the 200 free with 2:07.54.
Shout outs for:
- Brian Gonzalez for dropping 8.60 in the 400-yard IM. He finished in 5:11.12. He also dropped time in every event up until Saturday.
- Cody Chin for continuing to drop time after a series of great races last weekend at Area 2s.
- Andres McKeon for swimming 4 new best by the end of Saturday.
New FGC Records
There were two new FGC Records and three new FGC OPEN Records swam during Saturday session:
In the Girls 13-14 50-yard butterfly, Jessica Nava established a new FGC record with a time of 24.94. The previous record (25.66) was held by Chelsea Britt since 2009. At the same time, with that swim, she broke the FGC OPEN record (25.66).
SOFLO’s 11-12 Boys 200-yard Medley relay team took down a 2006 FGC Record (1:56.65) and an equally old FGC OPEN Record (1:56.65) with a strong 1:55.81
Finally, the Metro Aquatics 13-14 Boys 200-medley relay established a new record with a time of 1:42.75.
